Check out this 14 minute interview with the author of the book We Gon’ Be Alright: Notes on Race and Resegregation. Not specifically about school segregation but certainly relevant.

“Diversity is a difficult word now… We’ve become content with the picture of diversity as opposed to the reality of inequity… Over the past 50 years we’ve seen an unraveling of the fragile infrastructure that was put into place to move us towards racial equity laws. And so what we have now is a much more diverse society because of those laws, much more inclusion. But at the same time, larger gaps between the races.
